I praise you for your goodness. Your mighty hand forms the tiny beating hearts of my children, and I thank you. Jesus, you created the world and everything in it; all life is God-breathed. We are made in your image, every single being. I thank you for knowing each of us individually from the moment we are conceived. I praise you for loving us so much to even know the numbers of hairs on our heads.
Jesus, your hands shaped me and made me, just as you shape and make all beings. You clothe us with skin and flesh and knit us together (Job 10).
Jesus, you made all of us inside the womb (Job 31)
Jesus, your hands shape us and form us (Psalm 119)
Lord, we are the works of your hands (Psalm 138)
Jesus Christ, you created our innermost beings; you knit us together in our mother’s wombs. I praise you because we have been fearfully and wonderfully made. Lord,I know that the frames of the unborn are not hidden from you; you have woven them together and seen them with your eyes (Psalm 139)
Before you formed life in the womb, you knew each of us. Before babies are born, you have set them apart, Jesus.
Jesus, I praise you for your hand being on these little babies. I praise you for the opportunity to give life to children. I pray that I would walk daily with the weight of these scriptures on my heart. I pray that I would be reminded that all life is sacred because you have made it so. I ask that these words of truth would come from my mouth not out of condemnation, but out of overwhelming thankfulness and love. You are good Lord. I ask that I would no longer be apathetic to the lives of the born and unborn. I ask for a heart that is moved by all of your children.
